Jamey Johnson To Be Honored by Alabama Music Hall of Fame
Jamey Johnson is set to be honored at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame's 13th Induction Banquet and Awards Show later this month. The event, at which he'll receive the Alabama's Rising Star Award, will take place in Jamey's hometown of Montgomery, Alabama on March 25th. Mac Davis and Mac McAnally are also getting honors from the Alabama Music Hall of Fame.
In other Jamey news, he's slated to release two albums this year. According to Rolling Stone, the first one will come out this July, and it's titled The Guitar Song. That project will feature more up-tempo songs, while a second album of darker material is expected for a fall release. Says Jamey of his new music, "It's an epic journey through honky-tonk-ville."
